This week: Congress heads home, NAFCU continues bold advocacy strategy
Senate and House lawmakers are in their home states and districts this week after sending President Joe Biden a continuing resolution to fund the government on Thursday. The President signed the legislation ahead of the Friday deadline, averting a government shutdown.
NAFCU will continue to regularly meet with administration officials, lawmakers and regulators to create a regulatory environment in which credit unions can thrive. While Congress is home, credit unions can join the association in its advocacy by reaching out to their local representatives; contact information for federal lawmakers can be accessed through NAFCU’s Grassroots Action Center.
