New locations in Blaine, Eden Prairie, Woodbury and Savage to open in 2014, 2015
APPLE VALLEY, MN (August 21, 2014) -- Wings Financial Credit Union, Minnesota’s largest credit union, announced today that it is adding four full-service branch offices to its network of Twin Cities locations. The new offices, to open in the fourth quarter of 2014 and the first quarter of 2015, are located in Blaine, Eden Prairie, Savage, and Woodbury and will bring to 15 the number of Wings locations across the Twin Cities.
“Our new locations are conveniently located for thousands of our members,” said Frank Weidner, Wings Financial president and chief executive officer. “Whether they live, work, shop or relax in Blaine, Eden Prairie, Woodbury or Savage, our members can visit our newest branches to access our full range of financial services, to meet with our financial advisors and more. We’re very excited by the opportunity to contribute to the commercial vitality of these communities and to provide additional convenience for our members.”
The expansion will create more than 30 additional jobs across the four locations.
The Savage and Woodbury branches will feature a design that borrows elements from Wings’ award-winning Eagan location. The Eden Prairie and Blaine locations are leases on existing space within shopping centers. The interiors will share design elements with the new construction locations, but will fit within a much smaller footprint than traditional Wings branches.
About the Eden Prairie Location
The Eden Prairie branch, scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2014, will be located at 574 Eden Prairie Drive. A remodel of an existing space, the 2,600 square foot office is located just south of Eden Prairie Center and near the commercial heart of Eden Prairie. The Eden Prairie branch will offer a convenient location in a smaller footprint than most other Wings branches.
About the Blaine Location
The Blaine branch, also scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2014, will be located at 10400 Baltimore Street, NE, Suite 140 near the intersection of Highway 65 and 105th Avenue NE. The design of this branch will be similar to Eden Prairie but slightly smaller at just 2,000 square feet.
About the Woodbury Location
The Woodbury branch, scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2014, will be located at 660 Woodbury Drive. A new construction, the 5,100 square foot office will be conveniently located in the heart of a major retail center and office buildings.
The Woodbury branch will incorporate natural stone and brick materials along with modern metal panel accents, a curved standing seam metal roofing and glass curtain wall elements. The barrel vault curved roof extends into the interior of the building, over the lobby and transactions areas, creating an open and spacious feeling for the interior of the branch. The design includes three drive-up lanes.
