WEOKIE Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the recent hirings of Youssi Farag, Chief Financial Officer, and Marna Asbury, Vice President of Mortgage.
Farag brings extensive financial expertise, leadership, and a strong commitment to community service to her role as CFO. “Youssi brings the technical skills and experience that make her a great fit for WEOKIE’s Chief Financial Officer role, but what sets her apart is her commitment to personal and team development, passion for service to the community, inspirational leadership skills, and alignment with WEOKIE’s mission and values,” remarked Jeff Carpenter, WEOKIE President & CEO. “I am honored to have a person of her caliber choosing to join our team as we pursue our mission to ‘Change lives in our communities, one person at a time, by being the best place our employees have ever worked, and our members have ever banked!’”
Farag is a Certified Public Accountant with over a decade of experience in financial operations. She holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration from Ain Shams University in Egypt and a Master’s in Management Sciences from the University of Poitiers, France. She has also completed executive programs at the American Banking Association Stonier School of Banking and Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Fluent in Arabic, French, and English, Farag is deeply involved in her community, serving on the Oklahoma Council on Economic Education and the Edmond Public Schools Foundation boards.
Marna Asbury joins WEOKIE as Vice President of Mortgage, bringing over 30 years of experience in mortgage lending. Known for her passion for helping members achieve homeownership, Asbury is committed to fostering strong relationships and delivering excellence in service. "Marna’s exceptional track record and innovative approach to mortgage lending make her a fantastic addition to the WEOKIE team,” said Korey McMahon, Chief Growth Officer. “Her passion for helping members achieve their homeownership dreams, combined with her commitment to fostering strong relationships and driving excellence aligns perfectly with WEOKIE’s mission to serve our community and empower our members.”
Asbury recently completed the Southwest Credit Union Management School and serves on the Variety Care Foundation’s board. Her dedication to community-focused lending reflects WEOKIE’s mission to create lasting positive impacts for its members and the broader community.
