Members of Unified Communities Federal Credit Union voted to approve the previously announced merger with Genisys Credit Union (Auburn Hills, MI) at a special meeting held in Belleville, MI on April 20, 2022. This combination will join two financially strong Michigan credit unions under the Genisys Credit Union name. Combined, the credit union will have assets totaling over $4 billion and will serve more than 250,000 members. The merger is expected to become official on June 1, 2022, and work to combine systems and operations will be completed by July 2022.
