Hadley, MA – UMassFive College Federal Credit Union is part of the CU Service Centers® Network, which has branch and ATM locations all over the country, providing most regular banking needs. Shared Branching includes a network of credit unions who serve each other’s members at their locations.
As of January 3, 2013, we will be expanding the locations where we offer Shared Branching services for members of other credit unions from two to three. Prior to this year, we offered this service at our Hadley and Northampton branches. Now, we are proud to be able to offer it at our newly renovated UMass Amherst Branch in the Campus Center.
A Shared Branching location at our UMass Amherst Branch will support students who have credit union accounts from home, but who, until now, have had a hard time accessing those accounts.
Shared Branching allows you to visit other participating credit union branches to:
- Make deposits & withdrawals
- Make loan payments & get loan advances
- Get VISA Credit Card Cash Advances
Most locations also allow you to transfer funds between sub-accounts, get a cashier’s check, money order, or traveler’s check, and use the branches’ notary service. While most transactions are free, some special services do have a small fee associated with them. Please refer to the CU Service Center® Network fee schedule posted in the branch location.
To access your account when you visit a shared branch, you need three things:
- The name of your Credit Union (UMassFive College Federal Credit Union)
- Your UMassFive Member Number
- A current, unexpired valid government-issued picture ID
