Hadley, MA – UMassFive College Federal Credit Union has donated a second police bicycle out of a promised three to the Three-College Campus Police to help renew an aging fleet. The Three-College Campus Police serve Hampshire, Mount Holyoke, and Smith Colleges. UMassFive partnered with the Campus Police in 2011 to provide outreach and education on bicycle safety, crime prevention, and information about ID theft.
UMassFive and the Three-College Campus Police worked with UMassFive to host the second annual round of bike clinics in the Spring of 2012. The Bike Clinics were held at all three colleges, and students were given safety tips, simple bicycle repairs, giveaways, and more. In order to combat theft, bicycles were also registered by the Campus Police.
