Two Jeanne D’arc Credit Union Employees Named “Rising Stars” In The Credit Union Industry

LOWELL, MA – Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union is pleased to announce that two employees – Elisabeth Mulcahy of Lawrence, Mass., and Vyrik Eng of Salisbury, Mass. – have been selected as “Rising Stars” by the Massachusetts Credit Union League.

The Massachusetts Credit Union League is the oldest continually operating trade group in the United States. The prestigious “Rising Stars” award was created to recognize young, future leaders in New England credit unions.

“Elisabeth Mulcahy and Vyrik Eng are both very deserving of this recognition,” said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union. “We are very proud of their efforts both inside and outside of our organization. They truly exemplify the credit union mission.”

Elisabeth Mulcahy, Assistant Treasurer-Branch Manager, has risen through the ranks at Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union during her six-year tenure, starting as a teller. She has formed a very positive and engaged team that works hard to help our members make smart financial choices. Under her leadership, the Methuen branch has experienced tremendous growth in memberships, deposits, and loans. Ms. Mulcahy is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the City University of New York and has taught a series of resume-writing workshops at Lawrence High School. She is an active member of the Young Professionals of Greater Lawrence and the Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Ms. Mulcahy and her team donate to the Arlington Neighborhood Group, the Methuen Festival of Trees, and the We Share A Common Thread Foundation.

Vyrik Eng, Senior Financial Analyst, has been with Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union for seven years. He joined the Credit Union as a part-time teller while attending Salem State University. Upon graduation, he became a full-time member service representative and later served as a financial risk management analyst before assuming his current position. Mr. Eng is currently pursuing a master’s degree at UMass-Lowell and is testing for his CPA designation later this year. He is also highly involved with the community, serving as treasurer of the Angkor Dance Troupe, an organization that focuses on the preservation and demonstration of traditional and contemporary Cambodian dance, and volunteering at various festivals, including Lowell’s popular Winterfest.
