PLYMOUTH, MN (October 5, 2013) — TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union hosted a grand opening to celebrate the remodel of its newest branch in Wisconsin. The branch is located at 5570 South Packard Avenue in Cudahy, Wisconsin.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Saturday, October 5 at 9:30AM and was attended by TruStone board of directors and staff, Cudahy Mayor John Hohenfeldt, Sergeant Randy Scheel, local business owners and many invited guests. Immediately following the ribbon cutting, TruStone Financial donated $1,000 to the Cudahy Police Department to help fund their search for a new K-9 police dog. The current police dog, Ezzo, will be retiring in the coming years and the K-9 police force is funded purely through donations.

The neighborhood credit union also committed to a Little

Free Library for the city of Cudahy, to be placed directly outside TruStone Financial’s front door. The Little Free Library will be dedicated in spring 2014.

Following the ribbon cutting, TruStone Financial had kids’ activities, free lunch, face painting and prizes until 2:00PM. Many community members were excited to be selected for their 30 seconds inside the TruStone Financial money booth. “I was so pumped I was the first person in the money booth,” said nine-year-old Justin Robertus. “My family couldn’t believe it. It’s like I won the lottery. I was able to grab $49.”

TruStone Financial remodeled the Milwaukee-Cudahy branch over the summer. The credit union remained open for business during the renovation process, which was more than just a facelift. Every part of the member service area was upgraded. The branch office now boasts an open concept floor plan with teller pods for transactions, enhanced member service desks, kids play area, financial literacy library and more. The interior remodel reveals a modern design and image consistent with TruStone Financial’s brand.

The branch was home to Ladish Community Credit Union, which merged with TruStone Financial on March 1, 2013.
