Topics announced for 2014 CUNA Bank Secrecy Act Conference
MADISON, WI (June 26, 2014) — Registration is open for the CUNA Bank Secrecy Act Conference, October 26-29 in Las Vegas, NV. Registration and schools details are available at training.cuna.org/bsa.
In partnership with NASCUS, CUNA Bank Secrecy Act Conference brings together Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance officers, state and federal examiners, industry experts and regulators to put everyone involved on the same page. After four days of discussion, networking and sessions, attendees leave with the statutory and regulatory training knowledge to comprehend and comply with the complex federal BSA law.
“It’s not only important to learn the essentials of the BSA, but to stay current with it on a yearly basis,” commented Tracy Blaske, Director of Compliance Education at CUNA. “It’s been an examination focus for the last three to five years and it’s not going away any time soon, so this conference is dedicated to sharpening and updating attendees’ BSA knowledge each year.”
This year, state examiners and attorneys will attend the loaded schedule of sessions and events, creating valuable networking opportunities and exclusive takeaways. Attendees will also receive pertinent updates from the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) agencies.
Attendees may earn their CUNA Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist (BSACS) designation by successfully completing an on-site exam.
