(LAKE JACKSON, TX) — TDECU Real Estate has announced it is experiencing record growth in 2012, leading to an expansion of offices, the hiring of new employees and the acquisition of new members – all to the benefit of its members.
Since January 1 of this year, TDECU Real Estate has completed 214 transactions for a 13.9 percent leading share of the real estate market in Brazoria County. Its nearest competitor completed 141 transactions to own 9.9 percent of the market. In MLS listings for the county, TDECU ranks number one out of 39 real estate companies and has three of its agents listed among the Top 10 in the market from among 300 realtors. Additionally, two of its agents were recognized by Texas Monthly magazine for providing outstanding service and were named 5-Star Agents.
Ed Birdsong, President of TDECU Real Estate attributed the credit union’s dominance of the market to, “Our Members understanding the value proposition of using our services. With every successful real estate transaction, we are putting money back into their pocket, through our Real Estate Rewards, and providing them with the type of service an Owner deserves.”
Launched in January 1, 2012, Members who are buying or selling a home through TDECU Real Estate are rewarded with Real Estate Rewards for the more TDECU services they use. The more services used, the bigger the reward, beginning with a 20 percent rebate on all TDECU Real Estate agent commissions. Since its inception, Real Estate Rewards has given more than $200,000 back to TDECU Members.
TDECU Real Estate operates offices in Lake Jackson and now in Victoria, Texas, which opened in spring 2012. The offices have grown to employ a total of 16 employees and also utilize a network of agents to provide Members with its services across the state.
As for the future, TDECU Real Estate has its sights set on Houston where an additional 18,000 TDECU Members were acquired in recent mergers with two credit unions in the region.
