SWBC joins the Symitar Vendor Integration Program

SWBC, a diversified financial services company, today announced that it has joined the Symitar® Vendor Integration Program (VIP). Participation in the program will provide SWBC with access to Symitar’s technical resources to enable SWBC Payments to integrate with Symitar’s Episys® platform. The Vendor Integration Program is designed to help ensure that Symitar’s customers can easily deploy third-party products.

SWBC Payments integrates with Episys via SymXchange™, a services-based programming interface that enables third-party vendors and credit unions to access the platform’s core data and business rules. The integrity of data is maintained throughout any data exchange, because access to business rules and data is managed through a service layer which governs these interactions.

The SWBC Payments Solution is an enterprise platform that improves efficiency and streamlines operations while offering an intuitive user experience for a financial institution’s borrowers and account holders. The platform will utilize the services of the Symitar VIP to streamline integration efforts, decrease the duration between SWBC’s service delivery (i.e. when we did something for a member’s account) and when the updates are applied to the core, and enhance our client support operations with Symitar clients.

“Consumer demands and trends are pushing the industry to provide a wider array of self-service capabilities, faster access to account data, and a reduction in the complexity of managing financial activities – all while financial institutions face greater security threats and regulatory requirements,” said Prasad Shrotri, Vice President of SWBC’s Payment Products. “SWBC Payments will leverage the services, technologies, and trusted security controls available through the VIP and Symitar’s core technologies.”

Symitar’s VIP takes the customer out of the middle, providing vendors with direct access to Symitar’s technical resources and test systems. VIP inclusion is not an endorsement of the vendor’s product.
