Sussex County CEO Earns Top Honors

MILFORD, DE (May 16, 2013) Pamela Fleuette, CEO of Sussex County FCU, was recently awarded the honor of being named the 2012 Outstanding Credit Union Professional by the Delaware Credit Union League.

The nomination was a reflection of Fleuette’s resounding leadership to operate the credit union on a proactive level that will meet the needs of the future, while incorporating traditional banking services with modern, state-of-the art delivery channels. This type of operational direction has propelled the credit union to a new level and serves as a model for fellow financial institutions. While the economic ups and downs, decreasing loan margins, extremely high delinquency hurdles, and fierce competition have been very demanding for this CEO, she has not waivered in her commitment to provide quick and efficient service to credit union members. In addition to implementing technology that is the first of its kind in Delaware and in the country, Mrs. Fleuette has also deployed interactive drive-thru teller machines, express tellers and digital advertising screens.

Upon receiving the award, Mrs. Fleuette stated, “My sincere thanks for the Professional of the Year Award. I was surprised and honored to be counted among the individuals who preceded me.”

During the credit union league’s annual meeting, Sussex County Federal Credit Union received additional recognition, when Ms. Fleuette’s, Vice President of Operations, Mr. Allen Riley, was elected the Chairman of the 2013-2014 DCUL Board of Directors.

Sussex County Federal Credit Union has existed as a not-for-profit, member-owned financial co-operative for more than 53 years; serving over 14,000 of those who live, work, worship, attend school and/or volunteer in Sussex County or the City of Milford.
