TAMPA, Fla. (Oct. 31, 2012) – Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union announces the grand opening of its 52nd branch at 2135 NW 11th Drive in Chiefland, Florida with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 9, 2012. The grand opening will feature live music, barbecue food and a fall-inspired photo booth. Attendees who bring 10 non-perishable food items on Friday, November 9 can enter the Suncoast Schools FCU money machine for 90-seconds and grab for cash.

Beginning on Monday, November 5 until Friday, November 9, the first 25 people who open an account at the Chiefland branch will receive $10 towards a new account, and all new and existing members will be entered into a drawing to win one of two Apple iPads.

“Research and trends tell us that credit unions are playing an increasingly important role in the lives of consumers. Opening our new branch in Chiefland serves to meet the needs of new and existing members in this community,” says Tom Dorety, president and CEO of Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union.

Community members are asked to join the credit union in celebrating its latest branch opening by bringing in non-perishable food items throughout the grand opening week. These items will be donated to the Tri-County Outreach Pantry in Chiefland. From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, November 9, a Chiefland High School senior will provide live acoustic music.

Preceded by the opening of a West Tampa branch in September, the Chiefland branch is the credit union’s second branch to open in 2012.
