DEER PARK, TX (February 2013) – Since its inception the Furthering Community Unity (FCU) Team powered by Shell FCU has donated over 5,000 hours and raised over $50,000 to their community. All of this couldn’t have been possible without the help of our dedicated community, membership and staff.
The FCU Team loved seeing familiar faces at different events throughout the year, one volunteer in particular stood out the most. In the last two years, this volunteer has donated over 80+ hours of his personal and precious time to his community. He was our 2011 Member Volunteer of the Year and the FCU Team and Shell FCU are very proud to announce that Mr. Don Brown was yet again our 2012 Member Volunteer of the Year. Mr. Brown has shown consistency, commitment and compassion to his community.
The FCU Team powered by Shell FCU was created to provide opportunities for giving back in our communities and teaching the value of social responsibility in a fun team setting. Since its inception the FCU Team has raised over $50,000 and donated over 5,000 hours to benefit many charitable events.
