See the Hillsborough River turn Grow Green – Saturday, March 16

TAMPA, FL, (March 11, 2013) Grow Financial, in partnership with The City of Tampa, will dye the Hillsborough River “Grow Financial” green for the second annual Mayor’s River O’Green celebration.  Mayor Bob Buckhorn will host River O'Green in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day on Saturday, March 16, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park.

The Hillsborough River will be dyed green between the Cass Street Bridge and Kennedy Bridge. The dye is potable water grade, non-toxic, and biodegradable, and is used primarily to trace leaks and for search and rescue efforts in large bodies of water.

In addition to the festive green Hillsborough River, entertainment, food trucks and activities will also be at the event.  Entertainment and activities are free and open to the public.  Grow Financial will be on hand distributing various branded items for free, as well.

This year, any attendee who brings three non-perishable food items will receive a green "Saint Patrick's Army" shirt provided by the Salvation Army. All donations will benefit the Salvation Army and provide support for those in need.

A complete list of confirmed vendors and entertainment is available at tampagov.net/RiverOGreen.
