SECU grows partnership with University of Maryland, unveils the official credit card of the Maryland Terrapins

Football Coach Michael Locksley to be face of the card in brand new promotion this Fall

BALTIMORE, MD (August 29, 2024)SECU, Maryland’s largest state-chartered credit union, is proud to announce its newest offering, the Terps Card– the official credit card of the Maryland Terrapins. The Terps Card has exclusive benefits for University of Maryland fans, including discounts on fan gear and gameday purchases, but is an everyday card loaded with valuable benefits for the consumer, including points back on daily purchases, plus discounts and rewards at local Maryland businesses like Ledo Pizza, GrillMarx and more.

The Terps Card is the next exciting venture in SECU and the University of Maryland’s partnership, which began in 2022 when the credit union secured a 10-year partnership with the university’s athletics department. The agreement included naming rights to the football stadium, SECU Stadium, as well as a sizeable gift to support financial literacy programs on campus and the construction of the Barry P. Gossett Basketball Performance Center.
