PHILADELPHIA, PA (May 2, 2013) Sb1 Federal Credit Union (Sb1) is pleased to announce the selection of Robert Werner as the organization’s new President/Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Werner replaces Tom Swierzy, who will retire in July after serving 31 years as the President/Chief Executive Officer of Sb1 Federal Credit Union.
“We welcome Rob's experience and leadership to the Sb1 community as the new President/CEO,” said Gloria Wilson, Board Chair. “Rob is an accomplished leader with an impressive track record for driving growth and bottom-line returns."
Werner has over 25 years of diversified managerial experience in all aspects of financial services. He has most recently served as the Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer at Two River Community Bank in Middletown, NJ. There he has been instrumental in growing the organization to more than $700 million in assets, launching a new website, introducing first-time banking services, and consolidating 14 departments from four locations into the new corporate headquarters. Werner is also responsible for designing and facilitating the annual strategic planning process. Werner is an active industry executive who was previously chair of the Community Lenders CDC and chair of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association Service Corporation (PBASC).
