SAN FRANCISCO—San Francisco Federal Credit Union, a not-for-profit, member-owned financial institution serving the San Francisco community, has selected the winner of its “Free Gas for a Year” sweepstakes.
San Francisco FCU awarded a member of the credit union with one year of free gas valued at $2,600. The credit union selected its winner in a random drawing of eligible members on Dec. 16, 2012.
“We’re thrilled to be presenting one of our members with a year’s worth of free gas,” said Rebecca Reynolds Lytle, senior vice president of lending at San Francisco FCU. “Our goal is to help members improve their financial situations, and this contest was a unique and fun way to do that.”
Contest entrants were selected from a pool of members who took advantage of an October 2012 auto loan preapproval offer. To be considered for the contest, members had to fund their auto loans by Nov. 30, 2012. In addition to automatic entry in the “Free Gas for a Year” giveaway, each member who accepted the offer received 90 days of no loan payments and a free $50 gas card.
“We provided some great perks and opportunities with this preapproval offer, but the real rewards were the excellent auto loan rates these members enjoyed,” said Reynolds Lytle. “Members who finance a vehicle with San Francisco FCU see low rates and flexible terms, which equal huge savings for the life of their loan.”
San Francisco FCU offers other creative promotions and services for new and existing members looking to purchase a vehicle. The credit union gives discounts for fuel efficiency and provides a free personal auto shopper service, as well as other benefits.
Membership with San Francisco FCU is open to anyone who lives, works, studies or worships in San Francisco. For more information, visit SanFranciscoFCU.com.
