SAN DIEGO, CA (October 2, 2013) -- San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institution, is returning as presenting sponsor of the Shamu & You Family Walk to benefit Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego, to be held on Saturday, October 5th at 7:30 a.m. at South Shores Park in San Diego’s Mission Bay area. SDCCU has supported this event since its inception in 2007.
This year, more than 4,000 participants are expected to take part in the annual walk to help raise money for Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego. The Walk will feature SeaWorld® characters, flamingos and other animals along a one- or four-mile course that begins at the South Shores Park boat ramp and crosses through SeaWorld. The longer scenic route continues around Mission Bay. South Shores Park is on South Shores Road, a bayside park located just east of SeaWorld San Diego. With both routes, walkers will cross the finish line at the Boat Ramp to enjoy games, food and fun at a special post-walk celebration. Registration cost on the day of the event is $40 per person for adults, $29 per person for juniors ages 4 to 13 and $10 per person for children ages 3 and under.
