SDCCU is supporting credit union association’s fundraiser benefiting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 15, 2014) -- San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institution, will participate in the California Credit Union League’s (CCUL) 33rd annual Over-The-Line (OTL) Tournament on Aug. 16 and 17 in San Diego’s Mission Bay area.
Team SDCCU, made up of SDCCU employees, will compete against other credit union teams from across the region in the tournament to be held on Fiesta Island. Games for the Men’s Open, Men’s Century and Women’s Open divisions will be held on Saturday, Aug. 16, while games for the Mixed Open and Youth Teams will be held on Sunday, Aug. 17.
CCUL is one of the nation’s largest statewide credit union trade associations. CCUL represents the interests of more than 400 credit unions in California and Nevada, and their more than 10 million members.
“We are excited to participate in this annual tournament which brings together credit unions with a shared vision of fundraising and helping to provide critical treatments, equipment and charitable care for children in our community,” said SDCCU President and CEO Teresa Halleck. “It’s time to put on some shorts and lots of sunscreen and raise funds for a worthwhile cause.”
Proceeds from the summertime event will benefit Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego, the region’s pediatric medical center serving San Diego, Imperial and southern Riverside counties.
