Ryan Fisher named DuPage Credit Union Chief Financial Officer

DuPage Credit Union is excited to announce that Ryan Fisher was recently hired as Chief Financial Officer in Succession and will replace current Chief Financial Officer John Dumas upon his retirement in early 2024.

Fisher, a native of central Illinois and a graduate of the University of Illinois, begins his tenure at the Credit Union with 14 years’ financial experience working in the credit union and cooperative industries. Most recently, he was the Vice President of Business Intelligence at Farm Credit Illinois in Mahomet and before that held the office of Vice President of Accounting & Finance, as well as Financial Analyst and Head of Business Intelligence at the University of Illinois Employees Credit Union in Champaign.

After spending several years working on business intelligence, Fisher was ready to set aside data analytics and return to a more traditional financial role and to the credit union industry. It was at this time he was approached to apply for the position at DuPage Credit Union; in fact, by Dumas, whom he knew through industry events.

“I had seen Ryan speak at meetings on several occasions and was very impressed with his knowledge and passion,” remembered Dumas. “Then a few years ago, at a Credit Union National Association CFO Conference, I had the opportunity to sit next to him at a dinner and while we talked, I realized that he would be the perfect person to replace me some day.”

“People (DuPage Credit Union team) are genuinely interested in helping members and each other,” Fisher said of the culture at the Credit Union.
