RTN Federal Credit Union is hosting no-cost First-Time Home Buyers (FTHB) seminars in various branch locations this winter and spring. Starting on February 26 at the Waltham Branch, RTN will host several two-hour first-time home buying seminars 6 to 8 pm as follows: March 20 at Our Lady of Loreto Church in Worcester (near RTN’s Worcester branch), March 27 at the Waltham Branch (in Spanish), on April 10 at the Danvers branch, May 15 at the Waltham Branch and June 12 at the Waltham branch.
A ten-hour FTHB series, in partnership with Massachusetts Affordable Housing Alliance (MAHA) will be held 6 to 8:30 pm at the Waltham branch on March 5, 7, 12 and 14.
These seminars provide an opportunity to learn from the experts what to expect during the process of looking for and financing a first home. Topics include how to find a home, why good credit is important for financing and what types of first-time home buyer programs are available. Those who attend a two-hour seminar and/or complete the ten-hour course will receive a $250 closing cost credit when taking an RTN mortgage.
“Purchasing a home for the first time is an exciting and sometimes challenging process,” says Cormac McCarthy, Vice President, Chief Lending Officer at RTN. “With our financing programs for first-time home buyers and our educational seminars, RTN is great resource to help our members navigate the first-time home buying process.”
Registration is required for all seminars, as space is limited. To register, email financialeducation@rtn.org or call 781-736-9945. Para más información acerca de esta seminario, favor de comuniquese con Brian al 781-736-9864. Seminars are free and open to members and non-members.
