Irwindale, CA (January 23, 2025) |
Rize Credit Union (Rize) has mobilized to provide immediate assistance for their members and greater Los Angeles community affected by the wildfires. Efforts include essential item donation drives, opening branch locations for temporary community workspaces and a dedicated hotline for impacted members to access emergency financial relief.
Rize has transformed areas at its Irwindale (12701 Schabarum Ave., Irwindale, Cal.) and Sahara (6475 W Sahara Ave., Las Vegas, Nev.) branches into donation centers. In partnership with the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles, Rize will distribute these donations to those in need. Essential donations include diabetic friendly food, baby formula, heaters, air purifiers, sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, air mattresses and more. Donations can be dropped off during the credit union’s regular business hours and a full list of essential donations needed can be found at RizeCU.com/LAstrong.
To support those who may have lost access to their regular workspaces, the credit union has opened their Southern California branches to anyone in need of a temporary space. These locations offer free Wi-Fi, comfortable seating, and computer access as needed during business hours. Workspace spaces are available by appointment at the below locations and can be reserved at RizeCU.com/LAstrong:
- Irwindale – 12701 Schabarum Ave.
- Ontario – 975 N Haven Ave. #100
- Boyle Heights – 2130 E 1st St.
- Lynwood – 3200 Mulford Ave.
For members directly impacted by the wildfires, Rize has established a 24-hour dedicated hotline at 833-274-9387 to provide personalized support and special options for financial relief.
“At Rize, our focus is on being a steadfast partner for our members and communities, especially in times of crisis,” said Jennifer Oliver, president and CEO of Rize Credit Union. “The devastating impact of these wildfires has left many facing overwhelming challenges, and the pain and loss felt across Southern California have been profound.
