Redwood Credit Union Introduces Mobile Check Deposit

Addition of Smart-Phone Deposit Capability Latest in Recent Technology Enhancements from RCU

SANTA ROSA, CA (August 2, 2013) -- Redwood Credit Union (RCU) has announced that Members can now deposit checks using their smart phones, thanks to the latest update to RCU’s mobile banking apps for Android and iOS devices.

“We’re excited to add mobile check deposit, allowing Members the convenience of securely depositing checks to their RCU accounts anytime, anywhere, without having to visit a branch,” said Todd Lindemann, RCU’s Senior Vice President of Remote Delivery, who oversees the Credit Union’s service delivery channels. “As part of our commitment to providing our Members with the service and technology they want and need, our mobile check deposit feature is unique in allowing Members more flexibility than many similar apps on the market.”

Mobile deposit is the latest in a series of recent enhancements to RCU’s technology services, which have included mobile banking, an improved online banking system, and an updated website with improved navigation and search functionality. Other free online services offered by RCU include online budgeting tools, free Bill Pay, Quicken/QuickBooks downloads, online loan applications and eStatements.
