RBFCU promotes Alexander Aguillen to Vice President

The credit union’s leadership team continues to expand as Aguillen is now VP-Enterprise Fraud Management

LIVE OAK, TX (October 4, 2024)Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union (RBFCU) announces Alexander  Aguillen’s promotion to Vice President of Enterprise Fraud Management.

“I have worked with Alex for many years, and it has been a pleasure to watch him grow as a  leader,” said Brian Munsterteiger, RBFCU Senior Vice President-Enterprise Fraud & Operations  Compliance. “Alex has played a vital role in creating and growing the Enterprise Fraud  department over the last four years.”

Aguillen’s promotion follows years of his high-profile work on behalf of RBFCU to create fraud  awareness through media outlets in Texas, plus his ability to foster a drive within RBFCU Fraud  Management teams to implement cutting-edge ideas and innovative strategies.

“His leadership has not only cultivated a strong culture of fraud prevention, but he has also  become the face of fraud education (quite literally) with his dedication to informing the  community on fraud tactics and how to mitigate them,” said Sonya McDonald RBFCU  Executive Vice President-Chief Operating Officer. “The hard work and passion for his job have  been contagious to the team, and this promotion is extremely well deserved.”

Aguillen has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry with 15 of those years  specifically dedicated to fraud prevention and detection systems. He joined RBFCU in July 2015 by working overnight in the Card Fraud area. He has built his expertise through analysis and  detection of issues with payment card transactions, and his exemplary work led him to  supervisory roles as early as 2017. His most recent position before his current role was Assistant  Vice President-Enterprise Fraud Management.

As a native of San Antonio, Texas, he considers the impact of fraud on our communities and  financial institutions a matter of personal concern. Aguillen has been known for presenting fraud  awareness and prevention practices for several years and is a frequent guest as a financial fraud  analyst, appearing on KSAT-TV in San Antonio and WFAA-TV in Dallas-Fort Worth.
