Purdue Federal Credit Union’s David Kish receives Leadership Achievement Award

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (October 10, 2024) — David Kish, director and past board chairman of Purdue Federal Credit Union, is the recipient of the 2024 Leadership Achievement Award from the Indiana Credit Union League. He received the award at the League’s Credit Union Awards Celebration on October 4.

A volunteer credit union board member since 2014, Kish has been a strong committed board member for Purdue Federal and its 105,000 members over the past decade. He has played an instrumental role on several committees and served as Board Chair for three years. During his tenure, the credit union has embraced the use of interest rate swaps to manage interest rate risk; it grew the commercial loan portfolio to over $450 million, grew assets to $1.9 billion, expanded its presence in Northwest Indiana, and upgraded its core system.

He is also the director of Purdue’s Flex Lab, a multidisciplinary facility in the College of Engineering that is home to approximately 35 different research groups and more than 400 students. Despite these responsibilities, he makes time for Purdue Federal and represents the credit union through his work with several non-profit and professional organizations in the community and at the university such as the Black and Gold Dinner and MATHCOUNTS.

The Leadership Achievement Award recognizes credit union volunteers and officials who have given selflessly to promote the credit union ideal and to better serve the credit union movement in Indiana.

David Kish received his award from League Chairwoman Nina Baker of ProFed FCU.
