Political commentator and former White House Press Secretary Dana Perino to present keynote address at 2019 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference

WASHINGTON, DC (January 24, 2019) — The final keynote speaker for CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) has been announced: Dana Perino, political commentator for Fox News, co-host of The Five and I’ll Tell You What will lend her political expertise to GAC attendees.

“Dana is a top-notch communicator,” said CUNA president and CEO Jim Nussle. “I know from our time at the White House together that she has an impressive ability to take on tough issues with resolve and focused attention to detail. We are excited for her to join us as the final GAC keynote speaker, and appreciate the opportunity to hear some of her insights.”

Perino has previously served as the first Republican woman in the role of White House Press Secretary during the George W. Bush Administration, and was appointed by President Obama to the Broadcasting Board of Governors. Today, she hosts two of Fox News’ most successful programs and is the author of two books on The New York Times Best Sellers list. Outside of her professional world, Perino started Minute Mentoring and serves on the board of Companions for Heroes, which matches rescue animals with first-responders and veterans managing post-traumatic stress.
