Hunt Valley, MD (April 16, 2024) |
Point Breeze Credit Union is proud to announce that it has donated a total of $65,000 to five Maryland-based charities ($13,000 each), as part of the organization’s annual charitable giving initiatives and ongoing commitment to supporting the local communities surrounding each of its five Greater Baltimore office locations. This year, the credit union empowered its five local office managers from Bel Air, Hunt Valley, Owings Mills, Rosedale, and Westminster to select organizations they are particularly passionate about, allowing them to directly contribute to causes that are important to the team.
“It is part of our mission at Point Breeze to help others reach their goals and give back to the communities where our members and employees live and work,” said Tonia Niedzialkowski, President and CEO of Point Breeze Credit Union. “These five organizations perform inspiring and impactful work every day, and we are proud and excited to support their efforts.”
Individual donations of $13,000 were made to the following local organizations:
● The Humane Society of Harford County (Bel Air): Point Breeze’s donation will go directly towards the organization’s Phoenix Fund, a medical fund for animals that require life-saving intervention and treatment.
● Pathfinders for Autism (Hunt Valley): The donation will help enable the team to invest in their key programs, specifically law enforcement training and swim scholarship programs for individuals with autism.
● The Ulman Foundation (Owings Mills): The donation from Point Breeze will help fuel the nonprofit’s critical programs that provide free care and support for young adults and their loved ones impacted by cancer.
● Rosedale Volunteer Fire Company (Rosedale): The Point Breeze donation will go towards updating the organization’s equipment to help advance their first responder capabilities.
● Penn-Mar Human Services (Westminster): Point Breeze’s donation will support the important programs that help individuals with disabilities throughout Maryland find employment and secure housing.
“We are incredibly grateful for the generous donation from Point Breeze,” said Rebecca Rienzi, Executive Director of Pathfinders for Autism. “This generous donation will enable us to invest in our priority programs and will make a real difference in the lives of the individuals we serve.”
