People’s Credit Union supports Annual Broadway Street Fair in Newport as presenting sponsor
MIDDLETOWN, RI (October 1, 2024) — People’s Credit Union will be the Presenting Sponsor of the seventh annual Broadway Street Fair (BSF) in Newport, RI. A celebration of Newport’s Local Broadway District, the Street Fair will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, with over 200 merchants, artists, and food vendors lining Broadway beginning at 11:30 a.m. Free and open to the public, musical performances by local bands and entertainers such as James Montgomery, Steve Smith and the Nakeds, Ryan Lee Crosby, Soulshot, and The Winehouse Project, as well as the Providence Drum Troupe, will start at noon.
Sean Daly, Head of People’s Credit Union, explained, “As Presenting Sponsor of the Broadway Street Fair, we are proud to help bring together families and small businesses for a day of fun in support of so many deserving local artists, makers, musicians, vendors, and community organizations.
”Rain or shine, the family-friendly Street Fair begins at Equality Park and extends to Washington Square. Guests are strongly encouraged to walk, bike, or take the bus. Broadway will be open to pedestrian traffic only. No parking will be available on Broadway but there will be handicap accessible parking close to the route.
