People's Credit Union announced the appointment of Suzana Carey as Head of Finance. Reporting to the Head of Finance and Risk, Ms. Carey will plan, organize, and direct the administration of the Finance Department, including such functions as regulatory reporting, budget preparation, liquidity management, and development of internal controls and procedures.
"Suzana is just the right person to lead our Finance team," said Trish Carlin, Head of Finance and Risk. "Not only does she bring strong finance, accounting, and management expertise, but also the unique experience of someone who has spent her career in the credit union industry. Our employees and members will benefit from her perspective and insights."
For almost 14 years, Ms. Carey served the members at Coastal1 Credit Union, first as Teller then Staff Accountant, Accounting Supervisor and Financial Analyst. Most recently, she held the position of Assistant Vice President, Asset Liability Management. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
