Pelican State Credit Union hosts How to Become a Money-Smart Business Owner workshop

BATON ROUGE, LA (March 1, 2023) — Pelican State Credit Union hosted a FREE Financial Wellness Workshop on Thursday, February 23, at the East Baton Rouge Parish Library – Bluebonnet Regional Branch Library for aspiring business owners.

Pelican’s Nationally Certified Credit Counselor Lynn Gobert spoke to over 70 attendees about the steps to starting a business, building personal credit, and how personal credit affects business lending.

Guests who attended the workshop were provided with a free jambalaya dinner, desserts, and drinks. Pelican also gifted a Pelican prize pack and a $50 gift card to a lucky raffle winner!

This workshop was free and open to the public. Pelican membership was not required to attend.
