Publix Employees Federal Credit Union has opened its new branch in Lawrenceville, GA, located near The Village Shoppes of Sugarloaf near Riverside Pizza and Publix Super Markets. This newly renovated branch replaces the branch at the Norcross location that closed on August 19, 2022.
To celebrate PEFCU’s move to this new community, there will be Grand Opening Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony held at the new branch, located at 3340 Sugarloaf Parkway, Lawrenceville, GA 30044, on Thursday, September 8, 2022, starting at 8:30 a.m. until supplies last. There will be refreshments, entertainment, contests, and drawings. All are welcome to join the festivities.
“It’s an exciting day for PEFCU, opening our doors in our new community,” said PEFCU CEO Jeremiah Kossen. “When George Jenkins, Publix founder, envisioned our credit union, he saw us meeting Publix associates where they are at—both financially and geographically. This new location puts us within arm’s reach of a big part of our member base who prefer in-person banking services.”
PEFCU currently has six locations throughout Florida in addition to the Lawrenceville, GA location. The Lawrenceville branch provides many amenities and services that credit union members desire in a brick-and-mortar location. It has a drive-thru, a 24-hour ATM, and other self-service options. Members will also see familiar faces at this new branch, as the team from PEFCU’s Norcross branch transferred over to help make the transition smoother.
