WOODBURY, MN (April 30, 2014) -- Postal Credit Union (PCU) is excited to announce it is changing its name to Ideal Credit Union, effective June of 2014.
The change to Ideal was a thoughtful and strategic move by management and the credit union’s board of directors. Extensive research showed the credit union needed a name that would better align it with its broad and diverse community-based membership, and provide a foundation for growth in the years ahead. There is no merger, no new ownership and no new management.
“We chose a name that honors and reflects our commitment to members and our core values and mission,” said PCU President/CEO Brian Sherrick. “Ideal Credit Union was selected for its straightforward and strong connection to those values and the pride and everyday dedication we show to each and every member.”

The name change will have no impact on member status. Current account numbers, branch locations, routing and transit numbers, phone numbers and staff remain the same.
