Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid

Louisville, KY (April 23, 2025) |

Park Community Credit Union will be featured in an upcoming credit union focused episode of the award-winning documentary series Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid. In the episode, viewers will learn more about the credit union movement and the ways Park Community is setting the pace for the future of community focused financial services.

Park stood out as a positive example of the credit union movement with unwavering commitment to empowering underserved communities. Providing deep impact lending to those who need it most has helped build thriving communities in Kentucky and Southern Indiana and garnered the interest of the documentary team. Park was selected to be featured in the documentary series because of the work the credit union and the Park Community Foundation do to promote financial well-being and inclusion in underserved communities in Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

The feature includes an in depth look at the vital work of credit unions in the community with Park President/CEO Jana Erny, along with interviews with Raymond Smith, Vice President of Multicultural Engagement at Park Community, Executive Director of the Park Community Foundation Shannon Kisselbaugh, and Park member and local entrepreneur, Chiquita Shields.

“At Park Community, we are proud to be a pacesetter in the credit union movement, amplifying the impact of financial services as a force for good. Being featured on Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid highlights our steadfast commitment to empowering underserved communities and building pathways to financial accessibility. Park Community is not simply a financial institution – we are a movement.” – Jana Erny, President / CEO

Since 1965, Park Community has supported members and empowered our communities with opportunities to thrive. From the early days as the credit union for GE Appliance Park employees in Louisville, Kentucky, Park has grown and expanded membership eligibility in the Kentuckiana region. As Park embarks on its 60th year, the focus on empowering communities, fueling dreams, and cultivating belonging continues to set the credit union apart from traditional financial service offerings.

The Viewpoint crew travelled to Louisville, Kentucky in November 2024 to film with the Park team and community partners. The segment will be distributed nationally to multiple channels nationwide in April and will run throughout 2025.
