Pacific Northwest students receive $100,000 in education scholarships from Gesa Credit Union

Gesa awarded scholarships to 37 recipients this year

RICHLAND, WA (June 6, 2024)Gesa, a community-focused credit union, today announced the recipients of its Scholarship Program for the 2024-2025 academic year. In total, more than $100,000 in scholarship funds were awarded to 37 students across the Pacific Northwest. 

Since 1987, Gesa has awarded more than $1,100,000 in scholarships to students who have active student loans, are entering college for the first time, or are continuing to pursue higher education.

“Our Scholarship Program is one of my personal favorite programs that we have at Gesa, as it is a true testament to our core values of supporting local students and education initiatives in the communities we serve,” said Amber Merrill, Community Relations Manager at Gesa Credit Union. “It’s inspiring to hear each recipient’s story and how they plan to utilize the funds to further their education. We’re honored to support these students as the next generation of leaders and look forward to seeing all they accomplish.”

The credit union’s Scholarship Selection Committee and Gesa Community Foundation selected this year’s recipients of the Scholarship Program. The recipients for each category include:
