The 2nd Annual CUNA CIO/COO Forum will be held May 31-June 1, 2017, in New Orleans. Hosted by CUNA Technology Council and CUNA Operations, Sales and Service Council, the forum brings together credit union CIOs and COOs to explore the major trends and issues affecting their roles.
“The responsibilities of a credit union COO are constantly evolving to meet the demands of our changing industry,” said Greg Inman, COO of Neighbors FCU in Baton Rouge, La. “This event is for the COO who doesn’t want to fall behind, who is interested in discovering new insights into their role and new ways to improve their operational performance.”
“Remaining up to date is an absolute must for CIOs,” said Guy Russo, CIO of CommunityAmerica CU in Kansas City, Mo. “Anyone who wants to understand what it means to lead the technology strategy for a credit union in 2017 should not miss this forum.”
The sessions at CUNA CIO/COO Forum includes a general session for all attendees as well as breakout sessions that CIOs and COOs attend separately. The CIO breakout topics include mobile banking, big data and IT risk management, while the COO breakout topics include priority management, organizational change and the member experience.
LeClair Group CEO Richard Lett will present the forum’s keynote address, entitled “Leadership: The Royal Way.” In the presentation, Lett will share his eclectic leadership experiences as the head of a Trans-Atlantic sailing company, Royalty Protection Operations, a national insurance brokerage and other organizations, sharing his lessons learned in risk, planning and decision making along the way.
