Pacific Coast Banking School readies bank and credit union professionals with advanced leadership and business skills
PORTLAND, Ore., October 15, 2012—OnPoint Community Credit Union announced that Greg Smit, VP/Internal Audit Manager and Cecile Wood, VP/Member Services have graduated from the Pacific Coast Banking School (PCBS). In partnership with the Graduate School of Business at the University of Washington, PCBS provides a three year graduate level program of executive leadership and management education focused on the financial services industry.
Greg Smit has 23 years of financial services experience and has held branch manager, lending services manager and real estate services manager positions. Smit said, “The curriculum at Pacific Coast Banking School was intense and relevant. The knowledge and skills that I gained through my experience has significantly enhanced my ability to contribute to the continued success of OnPoint and the credit union industry.”
Cecile Wood has built a career in financial services including positions as VP/Consumer Products and branch manager and is a member of the advisory council for Credit Union Direct Lending Corporation. “The high level, relevant coursework at Pacific Coast Banking School further enhanced my knowledge and skills to successfully integrate the application of risk management, financial performance and leadership in today’s diverse financial services industry,” said Wood.
