OnPath Federal Credit Union announces plans to build a new branch on Williams Boulevard in Kenner Louisiana. This location is the first time that the 63-year credit union will have a branch in northwest Jefferson Parish.
With the core goal of serving the underbanked and as part of their Hispanic community outreach, the CU feels that this location is critical to increasing access to funds, access to financial literacy, and access to home ownership within the growing community. The branch will also be the first for the CU which will be primarily staffed with bilingual financial advocates, lending advisors, financial counselors, and mortgage loan originators. The targeted opening date of the new branch is early Q1 2025.
“We believe that opening a branch in the heart of Kenner represents a natural step forward in expanding banking accessibility for our growing number of Hispanic members and communities, while also granting all members greater fee-free access to funds,” said Jared Freeman, OnPath’s President/CEO. “This site embodies a goal we've long pursued, reinforcing our dedication to the communities that we serve.”
The inclusion of the Kenner branch will expand OnPath from its current 10 branch locations to a new total of 11, plus an OnPath ATM located in the New Orleans CBD at 1340 Poydras Street, New Orleans, LA inside the Orleans Tower building . Presently, OnPath Federal Credit Union operates 10 branch locations across the New Orleans metro area, comprising 3 Northshore branches in Mandeville, Slidell, and Covington; 3 Southshore branches in Harahan, Mid-City, and Uptown New Orleans; 3 Westbank branches in Harvey, Algiers, and Westwego; and a branch in Thibodaux.
