OnPath CU promotes Joseph DiTommaso to Vice President, Commercial Lending

Appointment of DiTommaso further solidifies credit union’s commitment to solid commercial lending acumen and long-term community development across greater New Orleans area

METAIRIE, LA (August 22, 2024) — OnPath is pleased to announce the promotion of Joe DiTommaso as Vice President of Commercial Lending. DiTommaso’s appointment will further the credit union’s efforts to expand its commercial lending portfolio and enhance its service offerings to business clients. With a proven track record in driving strategic initiatives and fostering strong client relationships, DiTommaso is well-positioned to lead OnPath’s commercial lending division into its next phase of growth.

Before joining OnPath in 2022 as Northshore Market President, Joe served as Commercial Lender for Gulf Coast Bank, responsible for building business relationships in the St. Tammany market and beyond. His previous experience also includes commercial portfolio management at both Chase and Hibernia National Bank/Capital One.

Joseph DiTommaso was born and raised in Hyde Park, NY. He joined the United States Marine Corps and served five years in the infantry where he received awards for his involvement in the support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He has been a resident of the greater New Orleans area since 2003. Joe attended Tulane University and is an Alumni of the Graduate School of Banking at LSU.

OnPath Credit Union rose from the docks of Avondale Shipyards Inc., as ASI Federal Credit Union in 1961. Louisiana Federal Credit Union, a division of OnPath CU was originally established in 1935, as Norco Refinery Employees Federal Credit Union. By June 2025, the two entities will operate as one under the name of OnPath Credit Union. The combined credit union will have 15 retail branches across the state, providing an extensive range of personal and commercial banking products.
