Numerica was the top-producing credit union in the region for SBA loans in 2022 — and among the top overall. The recognition comes from 2022 fiscal year reports recently released by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
With 30 loans produced in that timespan, Numerica ranked fourth among all financial institutions in the Inland Northwest and tied for ninth across the SBA’s Seattle District, which includes Washington state and North Idaho. The loan production totaled $12.5 million in support of local small businesses.
“Many of the SBA loans we made in the last fiscal year were to members looking to own their own business and fulfill their dream of being their own boss,” said Mike Shortell, vice president of SBA and business banking team lead. “Saying yes to 30 SBA loans this past year shows our commitment to Numerica’s core purpose of enhancing lives, fulfilling dreams and building communities.”
The U.S. Small Business Administration ranking accounts for loans from Oct. 1, 2021, to Sept. 30, 2022. This is the second consecutive year the credit union ranked ninth overall.
