Notre Dame Federal Credit Union Introduces New Logo

NOTRE DAME, Indiana (January 22, 2013) – In August, Notre Dame FCU was selected to participate in an exciting program at the University of Notre Dame.  Each year, the School of Art, History, and Art Design identifies two organizations to research, study, identify key marketing challenges and opportunities, and provide recommendations with regards to promotions and re-branding strategy during the course of the fall semester.  This graduate level class is comprised of Anthropology, Law, MBA, Graphic Design and Industrial Design students. Last year, the class developed strategies for Intel and Kenneth Cole.  This year, they selected Whirlpool Corporation and Notre Dame FCU.

When asked about the program, President and CEO of Notre Dame FCU, Tom Gryp stated, “This was a fabulous opportunity for our credit union because Notre Dame students are a huge part of what we do and why we do it.  Being able to understand our credit union from their perspective was a great gift.”

Students studied Notre Dame Alumni, students, parents of students, and NDFCU’s local membership through observation, conducting interviews, and administering surveys.  The result, a final presentation to Notre Dame FCU that provided both short-term and long-term suggestions to help build the credit union’s membership base and meet the needs of existing customers. Part of the process, included the replacement of Notre Dame FCU’s existing logo with a logo more true to the organization and all that the credit union represents. The shamrock represents the credit union’s roots on the campus of the University Of Notre Dame, while the circular stem symbolizes NDFCU’s all-encompassing membership, well-rounded products and services, and the credit union’s commitment to providing financial solutions to all members, worldwide.  You can view Notre Dame FCU’s new logo by visiting ndfcu.org.
