Neighbors FCU to host “Money, Mimosas, & Mocktails” to empower financial wellness

Neighbors Federal Credit Union invites the community to "Money, Mimosas, &  Mocktails," a free financial empowerment event on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 10:00 AM to noon at  Red Stick Social (1503 Government Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802). 

This engaging event features a powerhouse panel of experts discussing taxes, investing, and budgeting - because your money should work as hard as you do. Attendees will enjoy complimentary drinks and  light refreshments while gaining valuable financial insights from experienced professionals: 

Dr. Shannon Matthews: Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Psychology Professor at Southern  University, presenting Mind Over Money and Financial Psychology 101, exploring how mindset  influences financial success. 

Jason Knapps: Financial advisor with 23 years of experience, leading Investing 101, covering investment  options, asset allocation, and smart strategies. 

Kimberlee Collins-Walker: “The Tax Doctor" with over 18 years of expertise, sharing insights on tax saving strategies, maximizing deductions, and financial planning for side hustles and entrepreneurship. 

Registration is required, and attendees must be 21 or older. Each participant must register individually  with a valid email address to secure a spot.
