Neighborhood Credit Union hires Steve Boylan as senior vice president of lending and collections
DALLAS, TX (October 31, 2024) — Neighborhood Credit Union, a not-for-profit financial organization and the oldest credit union in the DFW metroplex, today announced that Steve Boylan has been hired as senior vice president of lending and collections responsible for managing all aspects of consumer lending, indirect lending, mortgage lending, and collections while adhering to all state and federal regulations and rules.
Steve will report to Chet Kimmell, the company’s chief executive officer. Boylan previously served as chief lending officer for Infuze Credit Union at Ft. Leonard Wood, a U.S. Army training installation, located in the Missouri Ozarks.
“Steve is a fantastic addition to the Neighborhood Credit Union leadership team,” said Chet Kimmell, CEO of Neighborhood Credit Union. “Throughout his career, he’s consistently implemented confident, innovative business strategies that have delivered remarkable growth, revenue, and profitability results. I look forward to seeing how his expertise will further contribute to the success of the ever-evolving lending initiatives that we offer to our members.”
An industry veteran, Boylan served as chief lending officer for Community Resource Credit Union in Baytown, Texas and has held leadership positions with Texas Dow Employees Credit Union, Wells Fargo and First Financial Bank.
“I’m thrilled to be back in the Dallas area and working with Neighborhood Credit Union. The tenure of the staff within the organization is impressive – it speaks volumes that many of our employees have been with the credit union for 10 years or more,” said Boylan. “I look forward to collaborating with the team to enhance our full suite of mortgage lending products that will add to the economically diverse product solutions that help our members achieve their short and long-term financial goals for their families.”
Boylan earned his bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurial studies and business management from the University of New Mexico Anderson School of Management. He is actively engaged in industry and community-based organizations and has a passion for educating credit union members on the basics of credit – how it works, how to manage it, and instilling good habits and processes that will build a strong financial credit life.
A father of two, Boylan recently remarried, and his wife, a master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, will be retiring in May and joining him in Dallas.
