The Navigant Credit Union Charitable Foundation has completed its latest round of grant funding, awarding a total of $320,000 in high-impact grants to support 17 locally based nonprofit organizations.
A 501(c)3 charity officially established in 2017, the Navigant Credit Union Charitable Foundation is dedicated to making significant and impactful financial contributions to support Rhode Island-based organizations focused on education, social services, arts & culture, public health and civic duty. Since it began awarding grants in 2022, the Foundation has disbursed nearly $1.2 million in support of more than 50 organizations.
“As a proud, born-and-bred Rhode Island institution, Navigant Credit Union is invested in contributing in any way we can to making our home state a better place to live, work, start a business and raise a family,” said Navigant Credit Union President / CEO Kathy Orovitz. “Our Foundation has given us an opportunity to enhance our longstanding commitment to giving back to the communities we serve with larger more impactful grants that make an immediate, positive impact on our neighbors. We’re pleased to support these 17 incredible organizations, and we thank their leaders, staff members and volunteers for the work they do every day.”

- Little Sisters of the Poor (Pawtucket)
- Meeting Street (Providence)
- North Smithfield Fire & Rescue (North Smithfield)
- Pawtucket Business Development Corporation (Pawtucket)
- PCF Development (Pawtucket)
- Rhode Island Boy Scouts, Narragansett Council Urban Scouting (Central Falls/Pawtucket/Providence)
- Rhode Island Philharmonic (Providence)
- Sojourner House (Providence)
- St. Mary's Church Food Pantry (Warren)
- St. Patrick's Church Food Pantry (Harrisville)
- Wood River Health Services (Hope Valley)
- YWCA Woonsocket (Woonsocket)
In addition to the Foundation’s recent activity, Navigant Credit Union has contributed nearly $520,000 in support of more than 230 organizations in 2024. In total, between Foundation grants and direct financial support, Navigant Credit Union has contributed more than $840,000 in philanthropic support to the communities it serves this year.
