Continuing its strategic effort to grow its physical presence across the state and better serve families and businesses in southern Rhode Island, Navigant Credit Union has announced plans to open a brand-new branch location in North Kingstown later this summer.
Located at 1041 Ten Rod Road, this new branch will be Navigant Credit Union’s first North Kingstown location and 26th Rhode Island branch. Additional locations in the southern part of the state include branches in South Kingstown (172 Main Street, South Kingstown) and Westerly (48 Franklin Street).
“We are proud to offer this new branch location as the latest addition to our growing portfolio of in-person, online and mobile services our members across the state can utilize to fulfill their banking needs and improve their financial well-being,” said Navigant Credit Union President / CEO Kathy Orovitz. “We look forward to meeting new and existing members in and around North Kingstown when we officially open our doors in July.”
The new North Kingstown branch will be led by Navigant Credit Union AVP/Branch Manager Stephanie Northup. Northup currently serves as the Branch Manager of Navigant Credit Union’s Westerly branch, which has enjoyed consistent success and growth since it opened in early 2023. Gina Brancato, currently serving as the Assistant Branch Manager in Westerly, will be elevated to lead the Westerly branch.
“Stephanie’s extensive banking expertise and her ability to foster fully engaged, cohesive teams has helped us introduce the Navigant Credit Union brand to Westerly, and we are confident she will prove invaluable in our effort to replicate that success here in North Kingstown,” Orovitz said. “Likewise, Gina’s decade of experience in the financial industry and established role as an active, passionate leader in her hometown make her an ideal fit to continue the momentum we’ve built in Westerly. With Stephanie and Gina, these branches and our members in southern Rhode Island are in excellent, experienced hands.”
Navigant Credit Union plans to officially launch operations at its North Kingstown branch in mid-July. A “Member Appreciation Week” for North Kingstown-based members will begin July 29 which will include raffles, giveaways, limited-time special rates on checking and savings accounts, and more. A ribbon-cutting celebration is planned for Tuesday, July 30.
