FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 2, 2010
WASHINGTON – NAFCU President Fred Becker issued the following statement concerning the election results this evening:
“There are many issues of concern to credit unions and their members, not the least of which is jumpstarting our economy through credit union member business lending and easing the regulatory burden on credit unions. We look forward to working with the new leadership in the House on these critical issues and others when the 112th Congress convenes in January. In the interim, we will continue to work with the current Congress in the upcoming session to represent the interests of credit unions and the 92 million members they serve.”
The National Association of Federal Credit Unions is the only national organization that focuses exclusively on federal issues affecting credit unions, representing its members before the federal government and the public.
