MVi Writes Interface to DocuSign’s Mobile Electronic Signature Solution

SALT LAKE CITY – January 14, 2013 – Millennial Vision Inc. (MVi), a document management provider and reseller of Laserfiche Electronic Content Management Software (ECM), has written an interface to DocuSign’s electronic signature solution, the global standard for eSignature. This interface enables credit union members to remotely sign credit union generated documents outside the branch with DocuSign and then have the signed documents directly imported back into MVi’s Electronic Content Management (ECM) System for permanent storage. This remote signature capability further expands the flexibility of credit union members conducting more financial tasks from home, at work, or while traveling.

With DocuSign, MVi’s credit union clients can cut transaction cycle times from days to minutes, eliminate “Not in Good Order” documents, and increase close rates. DocuSign also helps lower costs by reducing printing, faxing, scanning and overnighting documents for signature, while increasing member satisfaction with the ability to open new accounts and loans in minutes – anytime, anywhere, on any device such as a computer, tablet, or smartphone.

Coupled with MVi’s ECM system, credit unions can save themselves and their members loads of time and costs in remotely signing any type of document.  DocuSign allows a credit union to print or import any document that needs to be remotely signed by the member, with tools that provide the credit union with the ability to add a signature tab – along with other required data fields – to the document and send an email alert to the member for the remote signing of the document. The member, who may be at home, work, or on the road, then chooses his or her unique digital signature and applies it to the document by an acceptance process. When the secure process is complete, the document is stored on DocuSign’s servers (a.k.a. “in the cloud”) and automatically exported to MVi’s Document Management system for permanent storage.  Additionally, alerts are sent to all parties letting them know the document is signed and the credit union can move to finalize the entire business process.

“MVi offers credit unions a powerful solution that delivers real value to customers in the form of easy, fast, paperless document processing,” said Dustin Grosse, chief marketing officer, DocuSign. “With DocuSign and MVi, credit unions can take advantage of technologies that help them increase efficiency while better serving the needs of their members everywhere.”

“This interface we have written to DocuSign is another giant leap in enterprise content management in the digital world,” said MVi President Bill Poulter. “Providing these digital capabilities remotely makes it that much more convenient for members to manage their finances no matter where they are. It’s one thing to save a ton of time and money imaging and archiving your documents digitally, but to add a remote signature solution is the icing on the cake. It’s just another fantastic capability that adds tremendous value to a member’s credit union – not to mention the extreme ‘cool factor’ this technology provides.”
