Municipal Credit Union raises $25,000 for American Cancer Society’s ‘making strides against breast cancer’
NEW YORK CITY, NY (November 17, 2014) — Municipal Credit Union (MCU) presented a check for $25,000 to the American Cancer Society for its annual “Making Strikes Against Breast Cancer” initiative. The donation, presented by MCU President/CEO Kam Wong and Board of Directors First Vice Chair Hon. Sylvia G. Ash at the American Cancer Society’s headquarters in New York City, was the result of a month-long campaign engaging MCU’s employees and 350,000 members. The donation far exceeded the credit union’s goal for raising $15,000. MCU’s support of “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” is part of its ongoing corporate initiative to give back to the communities in which its members work and live.
