SANTA BARBARA, CA (September 18, 2013) -- The first website to grade credit unions for consumer desirability debuted at the 2013 Conference of the Marketing Association of Credit Unions, held in Las Vegas. MoveCU.com introduced itself to the attendees with the message “you don’t have to be bigger to be considered better.” This message is supported by the fact the Top 5 highest rated credit unions in MoveCU’s first database compilation average just $31 million in assets, with less than 1,900 members each.
MoveCU Developed to Help Consumers Find the Best Credit Union
The main purpose of MoveCU is to help consumers easily find the credit union best for them. By simply entering a zip code or city name, MoveCU quickly provides a listing of credit unions, using a 5-point star system to indicate overall desirability and a map of their branch locations in that area. Users clicking on specific credit unions are shown more detailed information on that organization.
Powered by the CU-Shopper Search Engine
The heart of the website is MoveCU’s proprietary CU-Shopper search engine, which uses NCUA 5300 Call Report data to analyze every credit union in the nation. Unlike financial rating agencies, CU-Shopper uses a 15-point matrix concentrating on price, quality and convenience factors.
