Michlig named CUNA Chief Engagement Officer
WASHINGTON, DC (January 14, 2019) — Credit Union National Association (CUNA) has named Greg Michlig as Chief Engagement Officer.
In this role he will continue to work closely with CUNA’s leadership team and marketplace leaders to implement lasting, positive change within CUNA as defined by CUNA’s vision and strategic plan.
“I can confidently say there is no one more qualified to lead CUNA’s Engagement with our members than Greg,” said Jim Nussle, CUNA president/CEO. “Over the past three years his work has deepened CUNA’s connection to credit unions and Leagues. I can’t wait to see what he has in store to continue delivering CUNA’s value to our members by growing and strengthening the credit union movement.”
Michlig, based in Madison, Wisconsin, joined CUNA in January 2015 as Deputy Chief Engagement Officer. His leadership contributed to CUNA experiencing its best trend in increased affiliation in more than 20 years. As the architect of the CUNA engagement consultant team, he took a brand-new function and made it an indispensable part of delivering member value.
Michlig brings over a decade of experience in leadership and within the credit union industry. Prior to joining CUNA, Michlig served as president/CEO of the New Jersey Credit Union League and was the senior director of member relations at the Credit Union Executives Society (CUES).
